Michael Connolly has over 20 year’s yoga teaching experience, sharing his passion for how yoga can add to your life to thousands of students locally, nationally & internationally. Michael is dedicated to guiding each and every student to being happier and healthier mentally physically and emotionally. Michael is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals and has been (and continues to be) highly influential is shaping yoga in Waterford and the South East of Ireland.
To date Michael has founded three yoga studios, The Cleaboy Center for Health & Wellbeing in 1999 (his first studio) AlphaZone Yoga & Meditation Studios in 2008 and he co-founded the My yoga Waterford Studio in 2014. Michael has been responsible for inviting and hosting top International teachers from the UK, Europe and the United States. Michael is honoured to have founded Waterford’s (and the South East) first Yoga Teacher Training School in 2011 - AlphaZone School of Yoga offering internationally accredited 200-hour training in both a 21 day summer intensive and 11 weekends over 9 months’ format to suit every need.
Michael continues to balance a busy teaching schedule of classes, workshops & teacher trainings with his other passions of delivering life changing and enhancing programmes in NLP and Mental Fitness, along with running his very successful AlphaZone NLP / Hypnosis Transformation Clinic. www.alphazone.ie
Michael’s classes are enjoyable, transformative and designed to suit every student, he teaches with clarity, precision, and light heartedness, he has the wonderful ability to convey and distil the powerful benefits and practices of yoga in ways that are very easy to understand and to experience, keeping it real using everyday language, he prides himself in his ability to meet his students where they are and assist them in making the changes that are important to them. Michael is skilful at weaving all the benefits of yoga into an enjoyable class making these benefits easily accessible to all.

Classes
Tuesday 5.45pm – 6.45pm HOUR OF POWER - Intermediate Yoga
This class is exactly what the name suggests and hour of your time and energy invested into your own personal power. You can expect to engage fully with all the usual postures, standing – standing balance – inversions – core – backbends – forward folds hips & twists all sequenced and delivered to create a deepening connection for you physically, mentally, and emotionally. This class is intermediate ( 6 months or more practice ) and will be adapted and shaped to meet every student and will leave you feeling stronger, more refreshed, healthier & happier.
Tuesday 7.00pm - 8.15pm THE BLEND – Intermediate Yoga
This class is delivered using a blend of highly effective and transformative alignment principals, drawing from Iyengar yoga – Anusra yoga - Vinyasa Flow yoga – Bowspring yoga - Restorative yoga expect to work hard, be challenged, invited to your edge, feel great and enjoy the benefits and the afterglow from this class for days afterwards. This class is intermediate ( 6 months or more practice ) and will be adapted and shaped to meet every student and will leave you feeling inspired, energised and recharged.
Tuesday 8.30pm - 9.40pm SETTING THE FOUNDATION – Beginners Yoga
This class consisting of simple yet powerful breathing practices, a basic yet empowering physical practice followed by nurturing relaxation, all designed and delivered to give the beginner a strong foundation in yoga methodologies in such a way as to accelerate and enhance the benefits of yoga in your life, expect to feel nurtured, healthier, happier, calmer, more centred, fully recharged along with being stronger and more flexible physically and mentally.
Thursday 6.00pm - 8.00pm THE PROGRESSION SESSION – Intermediate Workshop Style Class
( Anusara Style Alignment ) This is an intermediate / advanced practice dedicated to maximising and accelerating all the benefits of yoga in your life, Expect to deepen your yoga practice, getting way stronger, so much more flexible, all while feeling great, having fun, smiling a lot, this is dedicated time to you being in the best shape of your life, physically, mentally, emotionally & energetically.

Our training is designed to lead you step by step through the process of you making the transition from student to Teacher. We are very proud of our training and we are pleased to provide you with this information which could inspire you to massively increase the quality of not just your life but the lives of others also.
Yoga teaching is wonderfully rewarding as we are sure you will discover as you invest your time and energy into becoming the best yoga teacher you can be, our course is designed to internationally recognized standards and is accredited by the Yoga Alliance Professionals an international certifying body that guarantees the highest standards of practice.
